Hurricane Rita smashed Cameron, LA and flooded the marshes from the Gulf to above the Intracoastal Canal.  The two hurricanes of September will forever change life in South Louisiana.

Repairing a break in the levee behind Pointe la Hache, Louisiana in Plaquemine Parish. Salt water pilled up within the ring levee to flood this community.

The levee breach at the Industrial Canal has flooded much of New Orleans due to Hurricane Katrina.

The Marsh Mission flag, which flew from the houseboat all last year, atop Mount Rainier, WA, August 14 th . The climbers (from Baton Rouge) bear this symbol of saving Louisiana's wetland wildlife, energy, and fishery resources important to all Americans, all of whom are needed to support this effort.
